Choosing a path is harder when you do not know your why
Students often face pressure to pick a major, career, or next step before they have language for what matters to them, what they carry, and who they want to become. This seminar helps students with a caring adult discover a personal mission and connect it to possible careers and education paths.
Students will be able to
Name an issue or cry in the world they care about
Identify a key strength or resource they can offer
Write a clear, simple sentence that expresses their emerging life mission
Brainstorm career fields and roles connected to that mission
Name at least one educational path that supports those roles
Parents and caring adults will be able to
Explain the student’s emerging mission in their own words
Ask supportive, open-ended questions that keep the conversation going at home
Identify ways they can encourage without over-directing
Students leave with a clearer blueprint
